Measles Outbreak

Posted by: leanneh - Posted on:

We have received notification from NHS England of increasing measles rates across the country and 14 cases now identified in Birmingham and Solihull. Of those locally who have contracted the illness, none were fully vaccinated.

If you think you have measles, please do not walk in to the practice, or A&E, but call ahead so arrangements can be made to keep other patients safe.

Vaccination rates across the West Midlands are lower than the national average, however it is never too late to have the MMR vaccination. If you are not vaccinated and would like to receive this, please contact the surgery.
